We did it and we love it! Moved from the Fiver and truck to a beautiful 2006 C Class Santara Coachmen. I want to put a good wax on it before the winter months arrive and would appreciate any recommendations about what wash and wax will protect it the best? Or any other suggestions concering taking care of the coach. Thanks again for all the help in past weeks with the many questions. See you around the campfire - bring your own coffee though because we just bought a motorhome!

What do you use on your car? Do you like it? Use the same on your camper. It is just a large car.

Go to Camping World or some other place like an RV dealership and look for RV Wax and Cleaner. No need to reinvent the wheel here. Oh you will get a million opnions from dish detergent to Murphy's Oil Soap, to things no one has ever heard of before.... Remember, the RV industry knows what is best for your RV. For the roof: RV Roof Cleaner, for the RV: RV Wash and Wax.

This is what I use and it works great: RV Wash and Wax

I like Maguires but it's a ton of work. I have used Turtle Wax Ice and gotten good results. Easy on and off. It has the advantage of not streaking rubber or plastic, and it can be applied in full sun. I use it on my toad as well-an 07 Honda Element SC with a mix of plastic and steel parts. The Honda is silver, and the mh is silver, gray, and blue.

I wax my 2003 38' MH clear coated twice a year minimum with Collinite #845 Insulator wax including the roof.
It looks like new and sits out much of the year. At a recent rally someone asked if is was a new model, as the paint shines like new. Even with the 1989 Avion TT we still own, we waxed it twice a year to keep it looking like new. I also use this wax on all of my other vehicles as it is the best wax I have found in 20+ years, for durability, ease of use, etc. Its primary use is on finishes of autos, trucks, buses, and aircraft where durability, high gloss and lasting protection is paramount. Requires minimum rubbing or buffing, Clear Coat safe. Avail. in one pint size. www.collinite.com
To wash our MH and other vehicles we use Camco's Trailer Glitter. It does an excellent job and will not effect the wax on the vehicles. We also use it on all of our other vehicles.
