Well I finally had some time to add another upgrade to the TC - carpet.
One of my clients had a roll end of some great carpet and they tossed in some really thick underlay. An hour of installing and WOW what a difference!!
Need to go on a trip next weekend and I am looking forward to the extra warmth.
I need to add a deck still so we have a place to remove wet and muddy shoes and boots.

good looking job.
We got the decor package or something when we bought our camper in Nov 2002... it had the removable fitted carpet. We use it most of the year... remove it at the beach.

Now you gotta figure out how to take along a vacuum cleaner. Prefer no carpet to deal with myself. Simple slippers keep my feet warm and I don't have to vacuum. Good luck.

I put carpet in soon after I bought our Lance, now I am looking for some indoor outdoor that has rubber backing so not as much sand seeps through to the linoleum.

I got the carpet package with my 04 camper. Also bought a 12v car vac to clean it. I quickly learned that RVing and carpet are incompatible. Not only is the narrow floor a perpetual traffic area, prematurely wearing out the fabric, but every spill and splatter will show. The vac can't begin to reach the sandbox underneath the backing.
So, now I use a 2'x8' low pile runner (about $12/lasts for a yr.) and a broom. Have a small throw in the bath. Still use the vac on the carpet in the slide-out and step-up area to the bed. Have also steam cleaned those areas and reapplied scotch-guard every 6 months. Still, they are starting to show their age.

Bet that feels nice on the old tootsies in the morning.
All the compartment doors still oprn?
I just have a simple runner and a couple of my compartment doors just barely open as they rub across the carpet nap.
Looks good.

The doors and drawers just open. Never thought about opening them when I started and was very happy when they did at the end.
I think that I will leave this in for just the winter and pull out in the summer when it is warmer. If it wears well this year may take it in and have the edges capped with some fabric so they do not fray at the edges.
