We use a cradlepoint mbr1000 and it works well. We have 2 USB cell modems attached. You can also attach another input such as sat, dsl, etc. and use the cell modems for failover.
we use 2 USB modems as we need more than 5Gb (without paying big $ for overages) and to load balance which gives us better performance.
You can do a lot in the router mode, has firewall, etc.
Good source for this -- and other routers -- is the 3GStore.

My plans are to go with the Sierra wireless Mercury USB and AT&T. I had great service with AT&T with my cell for all these years, hope it will be as good with the internet. I am kind of leaning towards the cradlepoint 350 so far. trying to justifiy the cost for the 1000 router so far. Good information so far. Thanks
