Not true, there is wood blocking glassed into the shell for the roof rack/ladder and other attachments on the outside. There is also additional wood framing for the vent and AC openings.
It makes sense that Bigfoot or any trailer manufacturer to not recommend any attachments to the rear bumper. It's absolutely the worst location to add weight, compromising the balance of the trailer.
Bigfoots are extremely well made trailers. I can't think of any better made including Airstreams. They are pricey though.

Our Oliver has dual pane Hehr windows, and is double-hulled, plus additional insulation. We've camped in weather in the low teens without a problem. All tanks are enclosed between the two hulls.

Check out the Evergreen Ever-Lite, one piece fiberglass composite aluminum foam core solid roof sides and end caps, looks to be very well put together and basement is fully enclosed and heated. Almost no solvent odor in new units. Price is mid 20k to low 30k range depending on length. Not very many on lots and order time is about 3 months. Just have no long term track record yet.

We have a 24 RBSL Kodiak that we have used in all kinds of weather, I think all rv's have one thing in common (and we have had everything from pop up to CL A M/h) if it's cold you need heat and if it's hot you need AC ....I think rating one as 4 seasons is over rated. This trailer pulls very good and has every thing we need for camping. I like the torsion suspension and the lay out. Everyone has different opinions when it comes to RV'S and this is just mine.
