My DH can no longer drive, so I do all the driving. He helps with directing me when we park, unless I can get a drive thru (I have been driving an RV for about 9 months) then he makes sure I'm positioned right so he can plug us in. While he is out, he is also checking to make sure the jacks are fully down.

Then he comes in and we will have decided earlier what we are having for dinner. If we bar b que, we do enough for several meals so we can use some of the meat in salads, sandwiches or re-heat with veggies. We both plan the trip by looking at the maps and books to see what is nearby that interests us. We also look to see where the military posts are so we can camp there, go to the px, commissary, etc. Sometimes I take a nap while he is exploring the museum.

When it comes to laundry, we each do our own. I showed him how to do his laundry when he was going to go back to the states for training while I stayed in Germany for 5 months, that is the way we have done it for over 30 yrs. I do the shopping and he helps load the RV. Lately, I have had to go over his list to make sure he has his meds and meters since it seems he is losing some of his memory due to a tumor he had removed in 2002. This is one reason I bought the RV. This way he is comfortable in the same environment each time and doesn't get upset. But if he is in the hospital, then I have to hook up alone, but usually I have had help at some camps when I am alone.

DH does the hooking up and un-hooking of the rig. We work together on the leveling (he puts the pads down, I activate the jacks). I also lift the jacks and pick up the pads.
I help with the toad by positiioning it and putting it in the correct gear. I also install the windshield guard.
I generally do all the inside lock down and unlock chores.
I do the cooking and wash the dishes, he dries. We work together on planning and I navigate. He drives the rig, but I can. I direct him when parking and he does listen to me. We both do walk arounds before leaving.
I drive the tow car when we get to our destination. Our agreement is whoever drives the big vehicle doesn't drive the little one.
I physically can't do some things like tighten the hoses, or put the antenna up and down so he does those. We share laundry chores. There is no loading and unloading as we are fulltimers.

Its great having teenagers. I work 6 to 7 days a week, and take care of all maintenance on TT, towing etc. I do cherrish my time off. When we get to our destination and I get pulled into the site, I'll do 2 things.I'll Hook up the utilities and pull out the cooler. Then I'll let the rest of the family set up. I enjoy that cold beverage and the planning of the first campfire and first meal. I usually do all the cooking (fun). It wouldn't really bother me if I had to do all the chores. Anything to do with camping is just plain fun.

I usually let him bang the wheel chocks in because I have trouble getting them tight. I always do all outside dooky duty, he always does inside dooky duty. I seem to get alot of looks from men at the dump station when I do it but hey,.. =-) I dont mind it and it grosses him out. He does all driving, I "can" if I have to but I work much better from the passenger seat. He isnt as good with the kids and dog. lol. Other than that unless something is stuck or too tight for me to move, we just know what needs done and we do it. with the exception of first aid,.. if theres blood,.. its all him,.. if its vomit, its all me. lol

Sounds like we're pretty typical. She does most of the "inside" jobs, including the slides. I do most of the outside jobs. But that's a generality, the dividing line is more like the driver/passenger seat -- behind that is her territory, in front of that (and outside) is mine. So while she does the slides, I do the leveling, manage the antenna (she has a hard time reaching the crank) and the satellite controls, and handle the sun screen that hangs inside the windshield.

Depending on the situation, and who finishes first, we will also pitch in and help the other. Although on a recent trip, when I cleared off the kitchen counter, I was told I didn't pack the things into the sink properly, and I'm not allowed to do that anymore.
