I really appreciate the wealth of knowledge this site has offerd me. I am SO looking forward to getting my 5ver and TV. Thanks to all who have answered my previous questions.

I have one more question about setting up my TV. Where does the umbilical connect to the TV? Does it run down to the class V reciever connector or do you ususlly run a paralleled connection into the bed of the truck when the hitch is installed?

Thanks again for your help.

Depends where you have a 7-pin plug installed and where you choose to plug into...some opt to just plug into the hitch plug but most opt to install a 7-pin plug in the bed also so the entire cord stays in the bed (as opposed to hanging over the tailgate down to the hitch plug)

Most parallel a connector in the bed to keep the entire cord in the bed.

Thanks for the replies. I like the idea of mounting a paralleled connector in the bed. Do it right the first time.

Thanks again.

I had the same 7 pin installed in my bed. Like stated earlier, you don't have to route it over the tailgate.

I had an additional length of umbilical that I connected from the receiver connector under the tailgate into the truck bed.

I have a plug in the driver side of the bed located between the wheel well and the back of the cab.
This location keep ya from having to crawl under the overhang to plug in and the cord won't get hung up on the slider.

I was going to put one in the bed but just couldn't drill that big hole in the side of my truck box. It's over the gate for me.
