My wife had a similar result from a flu shot 15 years ago. Her body attacked the small nerves (per Mayo Clinic Scottsdale). Her capillaries wouldn't constrict so she blacked out if she tried to stand. She had to crawl. Eventually she got better. Nobody associated it with the flu shot. The next year she got another one. The same thing happened, only this time she didn't recover. She can't sweat so heat makes things worse.

I get the flu about once a decade and have never had a flu shot.

Never had the flu till the military mandated I have a shot. Never got another flu shot and have not had the flu since. Living healthy, food, exercise and of course including RVing certainly has something to do with that.

If people don't want to read about a fellow RVer's experience then they can bypass that thread and read something else. It's not hurting anyone to be here and it's informative.

My opinion: I appreciate that you cared enough about the rest of us to bring this possibility to our collective attention.
You are in my Prayers for a full 100% recovery.
You are an active contributor to these forums and therefore we owe you our thanks for this info.
As an active contributor I think of you as a brother. To those who would not want this post here I would suggest that you become an active contributor, as active as MM, and have a problem. We would all be pulling for you as we are for MM.

Have a good day you'all!

Get strong and follow your trails, MM, may they be Happy Trails!!!!

If you think it is inapproiate than report it. If you don't want to read it here then don't. Nothing is lost in his posting it. No valuable space was taken up.

I wish you a speedy and full recovery. The type of reaction you had can be devastating.

Unfortunately, reactions like this do occur in a VERY small percentage of people. But think of how many lives have been saved with immunizations, which include flu shots. Polio used to be rampant, but now is a very rare occurrence here in the USA. The reason why? Immunizations. If people stopped getting immunizations and flu shots, we would end up with a public health disaster with millions of people dying as the diseases went world wide.
