I know this is a weird question but..... Can you actually stand on the roof of a trailer without damaging it? Not that I want to tap dance up there but when I am putting on the cover it might be easier to stand up there to lay it out and to clean up my A/C unit.
Thanks

generally, on light-weight trailers, it's recommended to put a piece of plywood on top to walk or crawl on.

Depends on the trailer. DH stands on top of ours to put the cover on.

I'm pretty sure it depends upon the make and model of your RV, if you are able to walk around on the roof. I've quit walking around on the roof, not because of my weight, but because of my age. So now I just crawl around on it on all 4's.

Anyway, here's a photo of a photo that I took when at the RV museum in Elkhart, Indiana. This was a scene from Elkhart several years ago. I forget now what the occasion was, but thought this was worthy of capturing an image of. So, here is proof positive YOU CAN WALK AROUND ON THE TOP OF AN RV! ... although I'd do so with caution if it's 10 years old or less!

Enjoy!

I get on the roof each spring to check all the seams, no problem. I don't think it would be a good idea to make a habit of climbing up there several times a year. May not be an issue but why push your luck.
