Not surprising at all. I have been using Mozilla before most knew how to spell it. It has been absolutely trouble-free for me. I don't even have IE on any of my computers.

Not surprising since IE6 has not been supported or marketed in years. IE newer forms still have 64% of the market compared to Firefox at 24%. I think Firefox 4 will gain even more market share on it's release. Going to be a great browser.

I have IE8 but the way you guys talk about firfox I may have to try it one day.
google chrome keeps trying to get me to try it also, I'll wait until I can no longer stand IE then try another.

Me too. Been using Mozilla since Netscape 3.x.
Im presently running last nights build of 3.7a1pre 20091103 and it works flawless and it just keeps getting better.

I wonder about stats like this. On my company's site FF is at 29.7% and although all versions of IE combined beat FF at 56.6%, FF3.5 beat all three of the IE versions.

Sort of like comparing apples and oranges. Regardless I've been using Firefox for years and love it. Not only stable and easy to use, but a check will tell you that it doesn't plant all those tracking cookies that IE deposits. Occasionally I have to use IE as some interactive WEB pages are constructed to only work with it. Even the embedded IE in Mozilla won't show some pages correctly, but they are getting fewer as word gets out.

IE8 is for the birds, I hate it. I prefer IE7 or better yet Fire Fox.

Internet Explorer has a high usage rate because I suspect most corporate settings default exclusively to it and in turn drives familiarity at home. I prefer Firefox by a wide margin.

Part of what contributes to IE usage is it is automatically installed with Windows and you cant uninstall it. Not that FF is difficult, but you have to go get it and install it too.
