Has anyone ever changed the front cap on a B+ (Dutchmen Dorado) to convert it to a Class C with a cab-over bunk?

Just giving it some thought and trying to decide if it would be cheaper than a trade. I really like the motorhome but would like to have a cab-over bed.

Very few C's put the overhead bed in a front cap, it is usually the main house structure cantilevered over the cab, getting its strength from the side wall sandwich panels.

You might look for a wrecked BornFree, the forward section of that is molded, see if it is supported by some sort of structure that could be integrated back to your wall structure. BornFree uses steel and wood framing, must fasten the cap to that somehow.
