Met a young couple with two small children who drove all the way to Mission,TX area to spend the winter here. Since they are new to fulltiming, they made a reservation but did not think to tell the reservation taker that they had kids and were not asked if they had kids. They were not allowed in and are now looking for a RV park that will allow children. Anybody have a recommendation for a RGV park they can call?

It would be great if you would publish the NAME of the RV park that refused them but wouldn't help them find a place to stay. That would be the MINIMUM I'd expect in that situation.

They made the reservation at Bentsen Palm Village, where we are at now, and they offered to let them stay for a week. Apparently the family has had a tough week and was already upset so they did not stay for whatever reason. The staff here is great and it was just an oversight.

Thank you and glad to hear that they did the right thing. I was trying to think of the name of the county park located near Alamo City as a possibility for them.

thanks for the assistance Wheel Estate, but we have learned that some parks allow children in the summer but not winter, so we are trying to narrow it down instead of calling the nearly 500 parks in the area.

I know that a couple in Leisure World have custody of their grandkids about ages 5 & 7 that spend the winter down there. That being said, I don't know if they have spots available but won't hurt to check there. Leisure World is in Weslaco but I don't know the phone number of the top of my head.
