I don't want the alarm going off in the middle of the night but I DO like the looks of that one.

The simple cigarette lighter one is handy too and all a guy really needs.

I would get the LCD rather than LED for less amp draw. Or if you get the LED be careful where you mount it so is not staring at you when you want to watch a movie or sleep etc. I would have the alarm set real low like 11.5 to 11.0 volts.

I actually use this one: Martel LCD

Here's the ones I added. One of my better mods. Got both off of ebay for about $25 and they are self powered. No need for a seperate power source. Left is DC and right one is AC.

Respected but I want the alarm since I can set it to prevent it from going off at night but more important to me is that it tells me (hard wired) right from the distro panel exactly what my converter or batteries are outputing without a yard or four of voltage drop from skinny wire to the power plug.

Just curios, why would you need an AC voltage meter?

I can answer for fisherguy I think. I check my AC voltage all the time. I don't want to burn up something like my compressor on my AC because the campground had low power. Or another example is when I'm at home and plugged into a standard wall outlet. I know I can run my AC and a very few other things before my voltage drops to dangerous levels. I really like this setup as it almost looks like standard equipment.
