Looking for a place to park my fifth wheel in the next couple of weekends in or around red river, NM. There are mixed reports about Fawn Lakes. Some say it is year around but the forest service says no.
Do not need hookups or even a "site" just a place safe to park and use as camp for a few days.
Note: I posted this in the other forum as well.

Cant really tell you where to park it other that the Red River RV park. But I can tell you to watch the weather real close. Some of those roads get bad and stay bad for sevral days. So be careful

Don't know if the camp ground is open now, but Road Runner RV park is a fantastic place.

Just FYI, the Red River RV Park is open year round. http://www.redriverrvpark.com/
And it sits on the river. We have stayed there many times.
