Bowden can't stay there forever and when Jimbo takes over expect some serious competetion again. I'm sure he's got offers from other schools since he's been at FSU so they must be paying him very well.
Sorta seems like a waste of talent though. We sure hated to lose him in Baton Rouge.

I heard the other day that Jimbo has it in his contract that if he is not head coach in a couple of years he gets a $5 million bonus. I have not confirmed it anywhere but that is what I was told.

Ealey had an eyelash stuck to his cheek and Sikes was trying to brush it off.
Football is a tough sport. All kind of unsportsman-like stuff happens in pileups. I am not defending it but if you think this is the only gouging, twisting, grabbing or scratching that happened in this game, you haven't gone to a Georgia-Florida game.
In 2003, FSU player Darnell Docket twisted Ernest Grahams leg so hard in a pileup he was out several games, probably cost us the SEC that year. Know what he got? Nada, zippo, NFL contract.

It's called retaliation. The link posted got it half right. An AP report in the Baton Rouge paper said Meyer's wife brought it to Meyer's attention Sunday and a Florida coach brought it up later.
If you recall the game, Spike's was on the sideline earlier getting medical attention and his eye washed out. Seems a Georgia player had gouged his eye and torn his helmit of a few plays earlier.
Does that make it right. NO. But emotions play a huge part in the game.
EDITED ops, Katuna was posting as I typed.

That's OK, you can admit it was a dirty play. C'mon, you can do it. Can't be that hard to say it.

It was a dirty play. If you don't like a rough game, maybe you should switch to ice skating?

Rough is fine. Dirty is dirty. Keep justifying the thugs.

I see "Tonya", er, Brandon, is feeling a little more sorry as he asked to sit out the entire Vandy game. Wonder if he'd do that if it was a better opponent? I doubt it. And Urbie wouldn't sit him, that's for sure. After all, what's the problem with an intentional eye gouging. Wrestling anyone?
