We want to purchase a Colorado or a Canyon 4X4 with auto tranny to be our toad. We have a 35' Newmar Scotsdale with the 8.1 litre gas V-8 motor. Should this toad pull okay behind our RV? Do I have enough power? I am used to pulling a Jeep Wrangler - now for sale.
MANY THANKS for any comments..............Harlan in MN

Should be no problem. Nice thing is you can push a couple of buttons, put it in park, release the parking brake, take the keys out and tow away.

They are both under 5,000 lbs and you should be just fine. I can say one thing, having a mid-size pickup for a toad is AWESOME! Best move we ever made was getting rid of our Jeep.

I have a 2006 GMC Canyon Crewcab 4X4 with the 5 cyl. engine that I tow behind a 33 ft. 2003 Itasca Sunova on a Workhorse chassis with the 8.1 litre Vortec engine. Recently took this setup to the Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier, and Banff with no problems towing through the mountains.

I have a 2008 Colorado Crewcab 4X4 with the Auto and love the easy of pulling and setting it up. Have no problems as long as I remember to take the emergancy brake off be for I try to pull it. It takes about 3 minuts to hookup and leave.

We have a 2006 Crewcab & love it. Very easy to hookup & tows great. Much more comfortable than our previous jeep. We also use a brake buddy.
