I use a 12v mattress pad warmer with a thermostat control too. I just set the temp and sleep very comfortable. A cheep down comforter to top off the bed works great.

I (2-10-05) bought a 2002 F350 CC SWD PSD and a new 2003 Citation 10'8. Rancho 9000X, Superhitch, Wave 3 & Toyo M55's or Toyo 19.5's. I have been a tent camper all my life. I wanted more comfort while camping and doing my Crater Lake Ski Patrol duties.

I'm surprised your RV doesn't cool down more at night. I always record morning inside and outside temperatures. I usually have a 10 deg F difference. The coldest I've seen is 20F outside, 30F inside in my C RV.

It is usually about 20 degrees warmer inside than what it gets outside without the furnace on. It could be body heat as we do shut the bedroom door.

We bought a Travasak for our married kids to use in the cabover in our Class C. They liked it so well that we bought another for our queen bed. It is very similar to two sleeping bags zipped together, only with sheets velcroed in for comfort. They have a lightweight summer side and a heavier weight winter side.

We love it and used it all summer long and into fall. They are alittle pricey, but will be the last bedding I need to buy for our coach. See them at www.travasak.com

Another happy Travasak user here. You could do it yourself with two sleeping bags of different weights that zipped together, but sewing the velcro to attach the sheets is no fun. In really cold winter with no heater, we use a down comforter on top.

We use a Cabelas Adam & Eve Warm Weather Sleeping Bag which fits the Spree king bed (72" x 76") perfectly; the sleeping bag is perfectly suited to RV camping.

We recently returned from four frigid nights of camping at Fishermans Bend BLM Campground and were very content in the bag without using a blanket

Well, at least, the price and size were honest. I can't tell you how many camping companions were taken in by temp ratings and shivered all night. My advice is always to buy a much colder temp rating, and control comfort by what you wear and how much of your upper body you expose to regulate heat loss.

It is amazing how much warmer a stocking cap or hoody makes a sleeping bag. A SWAT/terrorist mask really works, too.
