We have had our 2008 31.5 FBHS for a little over a year. No issues/problems with the unit. It has not been back to the dealer for anything. The floorplan is great for a family. 4 bunks in front with a queen slide out in the back.

what frames do they use now? lippert?

The lightweights still use a NORCO engineered frame. The 5th's and regular build TT's use Leland/Dexter.

I have had my 25.5RKS since April. Did a 3300km trip through British Colombia this summer, lived in it for 3 days every week of the summer out at the lake and have had no issues that I needed to take it back to the dealer for. I fixed all the little "niggly" issues myself because I prefer that they are done right. Jayco uses a Dexter frame and axles on their Superlites and from what I have read here that is "a good thing". Small problems that I had and fixed myself were
- a few crooked mouldings
- 2 small drips on the water fittings in the storage compartment.
- Bathroom door was sticky.
- Bent roof antenna which I will never use.
- Sensor fell off the fins in the fridge.
and that is about it. This unit weighs in at about 10k fully loaded and pulls like a dream with my 08 Duramax Allison 2500HD. We have no kids and so the floorplan is great for us and when the weather gets too bad to sit outside there is plenty of room for 5 or 6 people. All in all I think that for the price and the weight this is the best fiver I could find. It does have Chineese Marathons though but I have been keeping a close eye on them and will change them out at any sign of wear. At this point I would by a Jayco again in a minute. Oh but one more thing. I HATE the the Carefree electric awning although I am getting used to it.

I think the vast majority of major problems occur in the "ultra-light" or "feather-light" category of whatever class of camper you are looking at.

This comment intrigues me. We are looking at Jayco Fifth wheels currently. Our favorite is the 31.5FBHS which is a super-lite. I'm not concerned about weight as I haven't bought the TV yet, wanted to pick out the camper first. But the reason we're looking at this particular unit is because it has a floor plan we like. I like the local Jayco dealer, while the only other reasonably close dealer(keystone) I have not had pleasant experience with and refuse to spend my money there. May have to do some looking into your statement however.

We are on our 3rd Jayco, a popup and 2 5th wheels. The first 5'ver was a 2000 Eagle we bought used in 04. We didn't buy it because it was a Jayco, is was the right trailer at the right price. We did buy the Jayflight because it was a Jayco. We won't buy another lightweight unit. We haven't had any problems from the trailer, but after having both you do tend to notice the difference. The biggest grip I have is the lack of insulation. Hard to cool, can't keep warm. I do think Jayco does give good value for the $$

This is a comment I've seen frequently. Although it has to be better than putting up the awning on our '08 Jayco popup, I hate dealing with it but love having an awning. May honestly go for the manual awning if possible. Looking at pics of the electric awning extended, it doesn't appear very sturdy.

Let us know how that goes. The closest I will probably ever come to seeing one built is that video that was on MSNBC a few months ago.

We have owned 5 TT and so far, 5 years, our Jayco has lived up to its hype. IMO bang for the buck Jayco is hard to beat.

Best of Luck

yes, i will ask as many questions as possible and post here. i am actually looking at their toyhaulers. the rason i ask about their product here in this forum is they have been building and selling campers longer than their toyhaulers so i would prolly get alot more input and a broader scope of their product.thankya

If you are looking a Toy Hauler the local dealer has two he is selling near cost. Things have been tough here and these have been on his lot about 18 months. Units retail over 55k and he has them marked around 35K. Might even take less.
