I’m not a full-timer, but we do take extended trips. My wife is handicapped, so exercise is not an option for her. I hunt upland birds more than half the year - the dogs and I will commonly cover 15 miles of rough terrain in a day.

In the off-season, I find a place to run the dogs hard for several miles every day, whether at the beach:

Out in the country:

Or just at home on our mountain land:

Keeps the Old Man and the dogs fit for the season, plus it’s a great joy.

I tend to stick with the 12-ounce curls myself, but DW participates in a rigorous program of running off at the mouth, flying off the handle, and jumping to conclusions.

We started hiking and to added camping to get to good hiking places. We should have started younger than 55. Going down and up the Grand Canyon is a lot of work.
You can buy books on hiking or walking for almost every state.
My husband adds riding a bike.

We walk, hike and ride bikes at nearly every place we go. When at home, we do the same except add in weight lifting 3-4 days per week.
