Hi Everyone,
I'm planning a cross country RV trip and have come to find it exhausting and time consuming to find campgrounds along the way.
Does anyone have any suggestions for good websites that allow you to search for campgrounds? I've come across a few so far, but haven't found "the one" yet.
Many Thanks!

Start HERE once it loads, type in the starting city, then just drag the map the way you want to go. Let it set a second to load then new campgrounds will popup, Repeat again and again long the road you want to travel. WARNING, not every campground in the USA will show up but a great number and you can then click on them and check out the information. Have fun.

Howdy!
When researching RV parks / Campgrounds I always start at RV Park Reviews. Great information. Link is below.

rvparkreviews.com is a good site for independent campground reviews. Well, almost independent.
Occasionally a campground owner will post acting like a very satisfied camper. You'll sometimes see that happen after a campground has received a "1" rating.
For the most part the site is very helpful. Just read through all the reviews for a particular c.g. to get a pretty good picture. We use it often and a vast majority of the reviews seem quite accurate.
on edit...looks like a few of us were recommending the same site at the same time.

This is a good one and probably the most popular one with people on these forums. http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ The map feature makes it very easy to use.
I also use these ones-
National Parks - http://www.nps.gov/findapark/index.htm
National Forest - http://www.forestcamping.com/
Free campgrounds - http://www.freecampgrounds.com/
More Free Campgrounds - http://freecampsites.net/
Reservable Government Campgrounds - this one is good for all government campgrounds, COE,ect , but it doesn't have the ones that don't take reservations- http://freecampsites.net/
I haven't found one that does it all so you have to do some jumping back and forth. Most of the sites above have a map search which is very handy. Have fun!

Websites rely on input from readers to manage their campground listings and reviews. My preference is for a physical book of some sort. I like Woodall's (and they do have a website also), and the Moon guides to different regions. The Moon guides are very comprehensive and on many recent travels, I never found a park or campground that wasn't listed.

From the website I gave you can click on the CG that you want to check, it will have a rvparkreview link, then you can read about that one and also any others in the area. Try it you will like it.
