I have been a nurse for a very long time, but yesterday I was prescribed my very first bottle of Nitroglycerin tablets. The size and shape of that little bottle has't changed in many decades.
I want to keep it with me all the time, but I do change clothes now & then. Is there a company than makes a cylinder, with a neck chain, to keep that little bottle in? I don’t want to lose the expiration date.

I have seen small nitro containers on a chain on the counter at several different pharmacies. Korger line of stores is one place and I believe Walgreen is another where I've seen them.

I keep my nitro in my right jeans pocket; at bedtime, on the nightstand. My family knows where to find it if needed. The rx is refilled every six months and the one being replaced is given to the local organization that fills scripts for the homeless...it's still good, not expired. Win-win situation. I'd probably forget to wear the cylinder-on-a-chain but that's just me.

Yes there are little containers made to hold nitros. Ours are small and contain an inner vial in which to put the tablets. Both DH and I carry them on our keyrings in case he needs it. You could put the vial on a necklace. I do think that body heat can cause some deterioration. They don't last long. They will turn to powder after awhile.

Actually, our vials are very small and we put pills in from the original container. I recently looked for another and could not find any as small as ours, they are larger. And I have seen several now that will hold the original container itself. We always keep the original in the refrigerator and replace our vials periodically.

I bet you can find it on the net if you google what you want. I have found several specific medical items that weren't available in my small town.

I have a small metallic canister on my keychain which holds an ample supply
of nitro tablets. Also, I carry the bottle, small, packed in cotton balls
inside a 35mm film can--works great-and keeps the bottle from getting too
warm from body heat.

NITROLINGUAL !!!!! Liquid Nitro. I made an ambulance trip once with 3 Nitro pills under my tongue. Dry mouth. The EMT used Nitrolingual and I started coming around.
I only carry Nitrolingual (brand name I think) now. It has worked every time I have needed it. Can't say that about the pills.

I keep my nitro packed in cotton balls inside a 35mm plastic film can. Easy
to carry and keeps the body heat away--somewhat. I only carry in case of
an emergency. Also have a small steel container of a few tablets attached
to my car key ring--just in case I forget my film cannister. Think I bought
the key ring container at Walgreen.
