Does anyone use a game camera?
DH would like an inexpensive one since his feeders have been stolen before. Basically, it seems like Bushnell and Moultrie are the most common low budget cams. Some use an IR flash and some just a regular flash.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Bushnells are a bit cheaper and available at the wal-mart store here, but most moultrie reviews I read seemed to be a bit better than the bushnells.

Get what you can afford. They all pretty much work the same.Just beware it might see bigfoot.

I would buy one with the IR flash. Maybe you can get a picture of the lowlife scum that are stealing the feeders.

LOL, actually ended up being limited by what was available locally. He didn't want to order one online, risk it not working, and then go through the return/exchage hassle and time factor.
Although the brand only received so-so reviews, we were pretty much limited to Bushnells at Walmart. A lot of the bad reviews were for ones not working out of the box. We did go with the 5MP IR Flash model. It took some pretty decent sample photos at the house. It was night, so they were all in the night-vision mode. I think he is going to set it up this weekend when he gets his feeder going.

Okay, well, the Bushnell worked fine.... for three nights! Then it quit working. Returned it for a refund and ordered the Moultrie which arrived yesterday. DH put it up yesterday afternoon.
Here are a few shots from the Bushnell. The abstract looking ones are where we had the time wrong for the IR to switch over and it whited everything out. Auto correct does this to the photos, but you can see outlines at least.
These are from the 3 nights of photos we got. Actually, feeder went up and no photos that night. The doe is from the 2nd night and the other bucks are from the 3rd.

A few pics from the new camera. Had some bad luck the first few nights with rain and with the feeder being stuck, but it seems like activity has come back now that we got that sorted out. Also see that we have a visiting dog...
