I was reading some of the prior posts on LEDs and i agree with some of the comments that the maxxima (M23015R/M23015Y) for markers... I'm assuming these mounting holes match up with those on the standard bargman 59s?

However, on my tail lights, guess i have a bigger issue. the lower back wall is slanted and thus i have bargman 92s installed with the a "wedge base". Are there any good recommendations here? Anybody fabbed their own bracket?

thx

I swapped out all the markers and tail lights for LED's several months ago. Ordered everything online. Marker lights lined up perfectly, as they're made as a direct replacement.

On the tail lights, I ordered a LED "bulb" that replaced the standard 3157. I was a little skeptical at first concerning the "bulb" replacement for the tail lights. But, after installation, the tail lights and turn signals were significantly brighter, even in the sunlight!

Going the "bulb" route on your tail lights would eliminate the problem of finding or fabricating a wedge to allow the lights to be parallel with the ground.

Here's a link to the 3157 bulbs.

When you swapped the markers, did you use the gasket or butly tape / something else to seal?

when i swapped out my markers i used houshold window caulking the kind that doesnt dry hard so far so good with the lights i put in
but i didnt change the brake lights either because of the same reason original poster described but i did something different i bought some led 3rd brake light strips and wired them in to the brake wire they work good for the brake lights but they really dont have enough time to energize with theturn signals so i guess i might just replace the bulbs

The markers I ordered are on the same website those links will take you to. The markers come in red or amber, and are completely sealed. No caulking of any kind is required to keep water out of the markers themselves, but you may want to use something to seal the screw holes on the trailer. I used regular silicone in the holes, then just installed the markers. Since the silicone will not be exposed to sunlight and weather, it should last a good long time.

Just be careful about reinstalling the screws. Not every situation will be like mine, I know. Not one of those screws went into any wood or metal. Just the fiberglass siding. I thought I was going to have a problem with the threads stripping out of the holes, but I was lucky I guess.

In retrospect, maybe I should have put a little dab of silicone on the back of each marker before it was installed. That may help long-term if those screw threads should decide to let go.

When I installed my 23015 series lights, I pit a dab of silicone in the screw hole, and use putty around the hole on the back of the light, then like mentioned above, put silicone (or something similar) around the light.

mount hole spacing on the 23015 is 3", which is pretty common for other lights used in the RV industry.

The tail lights on our TT are on wedge bases. I replaced the old Bargman #92 lights with the series 07 LED lights. They look great. The 07 has a rounded top, and it sticks up above the base by about 3/4". Caulk took care of that problem. 3 of the 4 original screw holes lined up...didn't need the fourth one. Also replaced the marker lights with Bargman LED direct plug-ins. They were a little pricy, but very easy to replace.

Mr. C - if i understand correctly, you used the 92's wedges and then the 07's on top (including one on the 07's with the license plate bracket)? Does the 92 wedge stick out behind shorter side ?

any chance you have pic

The shorter side of the 07 is the same height as the wedge. The taller side sticks up above the wedge, but not by much. I used one with and one without the license plate bracket. I'll try to post a pic when I get home from work.
