Forgot John's Pass!!! We love it over there and eat at The Friendly Fisherman or the one at the other end of the boardwalk - Sculley's? Don't remember. The shops in "town" are places I don't go, but I do wander into the ones along the boardwalk. You are almost guaranteed to see dolphins heading out to the bay - or back in. Now there is a Bubba Gump's at John's Pass right on the bay side. Want to go there this winter. I've been to one in Charleston and liked it A little kitschy but good food.

If people like to fish, the piers at either end of the Sunshine Skyway let RVs overnight there. Dry camping but great place.

Another big flea market is The Red Barn in Bradenton. Very popular.
I think Webster is on Mondays only and The Red Barn is open almost every day but not all vendors are there all the time. Forgot how big flea markets were down there. I'm not a fan, but many of our friends are. My husband loves them!! He brings home more junk - oh,sorry - great treasures They are good for produce.

I'm already tasting strawberries and Ruskin tomatoes!!!

The Flea market in Ft Myers is one huge place it takes a couple of days to get through the place.

Took the dinner boat tour from the city docks out to the Gulf and back for lunch it was well worth the money. They also have one that goes across state using the Caloosahatchee River and you return by Bus to Ft Myers.

We will be staying this winter for the first time in Bartow FL. We know about Bok tower in Lake Wales and spook mountain in the area. I believe it was in the mid 60's we were fortunate enough to have toured the inside of the Bok tower, the paintings were magnificent.

Anyone know of any eating places around the Bartow area? Mom & Pop type of places.

How about the high speed boat that goes from Ft Myers to Key West. You can go round trip in one day or spend the night and come back the next day. Haven't tried it yet but want to. The off shore deep sea fishing is fun also if you like that sort of thing. Sanibel Island is nice to visit even if you have to pay $6.00 to cross the bridge. Naples is a great place to visit if you have bunches of money.

I know some great out of the way restaurants in the Keys.
Not crowded, good prices and great food.

But I want them to stay not crowded, so you will have to find them on your own.

In fact I will be going to one this weekend.
