One of my friends designed this and I thought it was a good product. So I want to share.

I have been looking for a leveling system for my 5th wheel(this system will work on tag trailers also). Well it is here “Ground Control Leveling Systems” has come out with a user friendly and easy to bolt on your trailer system. This system is electric not hydraulic which is a big plus. The kit is universal fit and took us about 5 hours to install it. It comes with everything you need (except tools) for the install and it cost $2950.00.

First thing you do is remove you old landing gear and install the new legs and motors. It comes with three wiring harness’s one for the front jacks, one for the back jacks, and a power harness. For the back jacks you have to position them at the closest spot past the rear tires as you can. Then you drill four holes on both sides in your frame to mount the inside plate and then two holes on top with spacers so the plate can’t spin. Next you figure out the correct height (it is totally adjustable) and bolt up the rear legs. The rear legs are at a two degree angle out, so when they go up they stabilize you trailer. No more side to side motion!

Next we ran the rear wiring harness to the spot in the front storage compartment where we were going to mount the control box. The motors are all plug in and all the wires are labeled to where they go on the control box. No crimping wires or guessing where they go, a big plus in my book. It comes wired with a 60 amp fuse that hooks to your battery.

Now the cool part, you turn on the control box with a remote switch and everything is remote control!! So you can stand inside your trailer to see when it is level or walk around as you push the buttons to check all your jacks. One more plus is that when you are in your truck hooking up to the trailer and the height is wrong you can have the remote with you and adjust it from inside the truck.

For those of you that think you should only level your trailers by the tires is a myth. The manufacturers have changed their position on that. As long as you use 2 jacks at a time either front 2 back 2 or 2 on the same side you shouldnt have any problems. Dont do right front with left rear at same time.

For more info you can call one of the designers direct

or check the video on the webLeveling system

The new landing gear leg

The motor just slides on top of the landing gear and is held on with allen screws.

The rear jack.

Just drill holes for mounting plate and bolt up.

Bolt up jack to the mounting plate.

Control Box

Remote control works from inside the truck, behind trailer, or from inside trailer

The leveled trailer

Lifted up a 2 axle trailer off the ground, helpful if you have to change a tire on the side of road.

Wow nice I like it but "$2950.00" Does it require you beef up the frame? Love the T2000 too.
