I'm hoping to be able to stay at the Pinery for a few nights in August. Can anyone recommend which campground in the park that they prefer, and any favourite sites.
Thanks!!

Good luck! That park books up solid 5 months in advance.
Your probably relegated to Riverside 1 with your TT...

Other parks include Point Farms, Inverhuron, MacGregor Point, Sauble Falls all between Pinery and Sudbury yet still within driving distance of Windsor, London, Hamilton, Niagara areas if you are not able to get into the Pinery.

You may luck out and get a mid week site or you can call the park directly the day before you plan to arrive to see if there are any nonreservable sites available (once the park hits 90% vacancy the first come sites are not shown on the Camis site).
If you want electrical, Riverside 1, Dunes 1 and Dunes 4 (no dogs) are pretty central to the store/snack bar, visitors centre. The Dunes is closest to the beach but not many large electrical sites. Riverside 4 is nice - especially the river front sites - but they will be pretty much impossible to get unless there happens to be a cancellation when you go to book. Good luck to you.

If you're looking for quiet, than Riverside 1 is the place. We were there last week, and by 10pm, you could hear a pin drop!

I tried to go to Pinery this spring, when i got to the pay booth the girl said just a minute and then proceeded to talk on her phone for 10 minutes, when she had finished her phone call instead of dealing with me she started doing paper work,at which point i turned around and left.

Were did you go? Not another Provincial Park for a hundred miles and the private parks would not be open and not on my list!
BTW have been going there for almost 20 years in all different seasons for hundreds of nights/days and must say for the most part the customer service staff is pretty good to excellent. Heck, for the most part they're just kids.
