Assuming you didn't have warranty to cover the issue, what was the resolution?
If mine hadn't stalled the second I covered the hole (leading me to believe that the issue was more then having a hole where there shouldn't be one) I would have been tempted to just put a self tapping screw in the hole to stop the leak, but considering it was less then 6 hours "old" at that point on the first run none the less, it irked me.

That hole is meant to be there for over flow, all of mine have them. But the float does stop the bowl from filling up for some reason, something is stuck, and it squirts out. What did I do? I just sold them an hour ago for hundred bucks ea, same as what I payed for them. So I paid 300 bucks and got 2 nice working one, 1 full parts one. My Buddy got a really good working one. Sold 2 that didn't work an hour ago and my buddy has 2 left that don't work that is now his problem. Frankly I am truly SICK of messing around with them(they were all broken when I got them) But now that I have 2 good ones im done. Now its just see how long they last for. If I can get 3 years life from both of them combined, ill be extremely happy for my 300 bucks.
As somebody said earlier Honda doesn't need to worry about losing sales, Amen to that!!

well, for the price, I decided to pick one of these up from my Home Depot, since they were on clearance and only had two left. Got them for $299each.
If it works ok, I'll be ok that it is slightly louder than the Honda for the price.
It should easily run minimal stuff during a power outage and I like the fact that one person can pick it up and carry it for using elsewhere.
I'll give it a test run this next weekend and see if I can report back on how I like it.

Simple, just wire it into any +12V grounded source, a convenient source of which is on the 12V charging port.
Thanks...
any suggestions (from anyone) on where to buy a low profile hour meter to add on that isn't over expensive?

Not sure where you are located, but in Canada Princess Auto carries them. If you're in the US, I'd check out a local farm supply or farm equipment dealer as they often have them.
Of course, there's also eBay. I'm sure there's tons of them there.

Would love to find one for 299.99 at Home Depot but I think I am out of luck now.

web search does not show the $299 price or the stores that have them
that was detailed in several posts in this thread
there are only (2) ways to find them
call the stores on the phone
or visit the stores in person
