There is not an infection due to the epidural(good news). But, the L5 is gone and the disks have slipped lots, more on the 2nd MRI. So the only correction is surgery. They give Craig a 90+% chance of a great recovery and lots less pain (not a 20 year old back but much, much better--good news). Bad news - they can't schedule the surgery until Feb 2010. But, at least that gets us through the holidays. Long day and very tired. Didn't get a nap today so there is still 7 more sleeps until Paso and the MASH!!! Please let me know what you want to bring for Friday dinner if you haven't signed up for anything yet. THANKS!!!! My dad had back surgery and it really helped him and he was 76 yrs old when he got it. Mash is on...
