It is a little suprising to see the numbers because you don't normally see a lot of posts that are concerned with NLs.
Plus there has been a general trend at least in reading posts towards units with slideouts which NL doesn't build.
At least where we live NLs are about as common as hens teeth, but considering we had to travel 1200 miles to get one, I guess it is not suprising.

The reason that I have a NL is because they are light!! I do not even notice the weight on the back of the truck (1600lbs) and I can use the unit for so much more than camping because of that. I use my unit as a mobile office, mobile lunchroom, a warming room for cold weather (sleding, hiking, etc) and for storage of camera and computer equipment when travelling.
Would I like more room, some days I would love a slide for the extra room, but then I would not use the unit as much. One thing that we are looking at is to buy a small older travel trailer to haul our bikes and extra gear and to use the TT as a base camp for the family when we are in an area. Then using the TC for the day trips and as an extra bedroom.

Since March 2008, owner of a 2006 Northern Lite, 9.6 Q SE. We're certainly not that many out there.

I gotta say...that's more than I thought there would be. A lot of the names I've seen before but there are a few that I haven't. Thanks for the responses. I was just curious. Dave.
p.s. I've added everyone to the list.

I posted here during my search for a TC and shortly after. Likely will be more active now. My TC is in my signature. Other than camping, here are my current tasks.
1) Get a new sink, the plastic one stinks.
2) Get a new vent cover for the bathroom toilet vent (not the one with the fan).
3) Get my load/unload time below 15 minutes (its about 30 now, I think).
4) Figure out how to camp in this thing in really cold and do minimal winterization on each trip.

Don't like the wimpy non fold down TV antenna, seems to hit every tree branch out there, otherwise, we love the camper.

Are there any northern lite email lists?
Should we start an informal one?
We could PM email addresses or something...
Just an idea, but y'all might get bored with my newbie questions (even though I have had it for 3 year now).

Deal me in on this one. As I write this relaxing in my 2006 NL 8'5 Classic, warm and cozy, watching a John Wayne flick.
