I appreciate the feedback. I will look for that when i go back. I really like the floorplan of this unit. I'm just scared of potential problems. I did ask the salesman about purchasing a warranty and he said that of course was an option. Are there any likely problems with this year/model that a normal warranty would not cover?
I can start a new thread if need be also.
Thanks

Go to Warrior Lifestyles web site they have one for $24,000.00 with a 4 year service agreement. They are affiliated with WW and can give you info on the trailer. They have a FS2500 SL as well. Lighter trailer with almost the same features.

Ok so I read through the most settlement and almost all of this thread. Lot's of good info here.
I'm looking at used 2007 Superlite 5th wheel (not sure if it's an SL 2805 or SL 3005) and I'm wondering if I should steer clear.
I see where the SL 2805 and SL 3005 are mentioned in Exhibit B of the Settlement Agreement but it doesn't say anything specific about those models. Also I didn't see a Prophylactic fix for those models.
Any advice?

If it has windows on each side close to the rear it is a SL3005. The SL2805 doesn't have those windows. We asked for them but they wouldn't put them in for us for some reason.
What WW did to ours when we took it to them after the first year for warranty items was added 3 to 4 each angle braces on each side of the frame face to the bottom of the trailer body and one piece of horizonal brace down the middle of the frame underneath. WW just did it. We never talked to them about it and when we received our trailer back I noticed the frame had been repainted. I ask the rep helping us about it and he told me they are retrowing the 2805 and 3005 in this manner do to maybe some future frame issue's. I hadn't seen anything specific on the retro from anyone here on this site or WW when all that stuff was going on all the other SL frames. We thought it pretty good that they did in fact do that, but then again we were concerned that WW didn't contact us regarding it. We don't think it was an issue on these particular models so maybe it was just precautionary measures. That's how we looked at it anyway.
So when you look at the trailer you should see these, a total of 4, on the outside of the frame. One is directly behind the rear axle tires and acts as a metal tire/mud flap as well. I would think that the 3005 would have one additional brace added to it for the additional 2 feet of frame or maybe the same amount spaced out farther.
Hope this helps.

Hello all! I am brand new here and am in the market for a toy hauler. I have found an 04 WW FK1900 for 9500.00. Its obviously used but in very good condition. I have read through this entire thread as well as struggled through the legalese of the trailer settlement pdf and still I have questions...
First, is the 04 WW FK1900 one of the affected trailers that should be repaired/fixed or prophylactically altered?
Second, Considering the unfortunate circumstances of WW would a trailer like this be a good toy hauler for a new RV'er?
Any help is definetely appreciated...
Thanks...

Do you have any pictures or a few more details (i.e. location of the new braces and I dont quite understand the horizontal braces) on these modifications?
Thx!

The 2004 FK1900 could be one of the affected trailers. Somewhere in the many pages of this thread I think there are pictures of the tongue. If the one you are looking at has the 1/8" thick metal then the prophylactic fix should be done. I believe the fix calls for 2"X2" square tube to be added under the existing tongue. My 2006 FK1900 has the 3/16" thick metal in the tongue and has no issues.
It is overall a good TH. Be aware that they are a lot heavier than the factory specs, mine has a tongue weight of 1,100# to 1,200# depending on how it is loaded.
They also had a lot of issues with roof leakage at the front cap. Check inside for any signs of water in the ceiling, you may see rust stains from the staples, sure sign it has leaked. Go up on the roof, if it has the race deck it should be solid, if soft then it has rot. Even without the race package the roof should be solid but will have some give to it.

I have an 06 FK2100. Love it! Have had no issues. Mine does have the thicker tongue also but I would check yours since it is an 04.
I haul 2 full size polaris sportsmans.
When loaded with everything but water I have about 6300lbs. on the axles and about 800lbs on the tongue. I tow it with an 03 1/2 ton GMC. Tows great but a little sloww up hills.
The only mods I have made are upgrading the tires to 225's with a "D" load range and adding a tie down point in the middle of the kitchen floor.

Thanks for your help! It really .... helped (for lack of a better word). Anyways, everything looked good, 3/16" tongue, straight cabinets and wheel wells, needs a bit of caulking but I bought it!
Thanks again... I will post pics in another thread
