speedometer fluctuation

My speedometer occasionally will swing wildly varying from cruise speed up to pegging. This causes the cruise control to not function properly. Only rarely does this occur but often enough to be a pain. I asume it's the speed control sensor but I can't find it on my 2001 Discovery, Freightliner chassis, cummins 5.9 with 6 speed Allison. Can anyone tell me where it's located and if it's easy to install.
Thanks

RE: Lost keys all

You can take off the inside cover of the door lock and there is a key code there. Call 800 837 2505 and you can get a new key for about 4.00 or so, at least it worked for me

exjhaust brake

Thanks for lots of good info on EB's. Since I have a 47Re with 75k miles on it. Looks like I'll need to start saving my $ sfor some transmission work. Will need to research trans. upgrades but being a senior citizen I'll not be burning up the roads. Ideas on upgrades?

RE: Best Hitch fifth wheel

Having just spent many hours researching the subject.......they're probably all good but if you are into the "buy American" mode, Pullrite is one of the few left being mfg'd in this country, Reese, Curt, etc. are imported from China

exhaust brake necessary?

After several years of class A ownership, I'm moving to a fifth wheel (10500 dry), pulling it with a 2003 Dodge 2500 diesel. I had great experience with my exhaust brake in my class A but wondering if I need one for my next rig. Do some mountain driving in Colorado and some of those grades can cause a little pucker to say the least.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
