RE: Trailer Tire Balancing- Hub Mounted? Bubble Balancing?

I worked in a tire shop,...balancing etc etc, and for a trailer, a bubble balance would be more than adequate IMO.
Buy one at HF, use it twice, and it paid for itself.
I did the same thing with very good results. I also mount my own tires with a mounting stand I bought at Harbor Freight. Just take your time.

Motorhome towing Jeep towing 1600lb trailer??????

Does anyone tow this kind of set up? What states if any would this be possible? I did see this in AZ. on I8 one time. If the driver held a valid CDL would that make a difference?

RE: Anyone shipped their Rv by Train? Van to Montreal?

I do not know about Canada but in the US you would probably get a full body paint job at no extra charge.

RE: buying tires for RV

I thought tire rack.com had prearranged agreements with some places to install tires purchased from them.
They do, installation is not included in the price though. I have bought many sets of tires from the Tire Rack with never a problem. The price is always the best, and never have to pay state sales tax or fed. excise tax. That sayings more than pays for the freight.

RE: Does my Rig have Air bags as part of the suspension?

If that is a Workhorse with independent front suspension. You probably have air bags inside the front coil springs.

RE: Tools in the toolbox

It kind of depends on your knowledge and abilities. Only you can determine that. I carry everything from a screw driver to a welder, and air tools.

RE: winter care ???

I would not only start it. Weather permitting I would take it out for a drive. That gets everything up to temp and working including suspension parts and brakes.

RE: steel wheel on bottom of hitch??

Most likely it would just crush it. Unless it were able to support several thousand pounds of weight. The down force at the rear of your coach can be quite high. Its best to take those rises and dips at an angle. IMHO

RE: Roadmaster Towbar Maintenance

If you are anywhere near Quartzsite AZ. Drop it off at the Road Master's booth and they will service it completely for free. My friend does it every year.

RE: Towing a RAV4 on a tow dolly

All wheel drive vehicles can not be towed 4 down or on a dolly. Four wheel drive with a transfer case that can be shifted into neutral can be towed either way. There may be some exceptions to this, but none that I know of.

RE: Propane Camp fire's

We have one. The fire is a little small, but OK for four people. It does put out some heat, and it can be used under the awning when it rains. It is nice to have, but we do not use it very often. I guess I would buy it again.
