RE: Any Bigfoot experts out there?

Our 2004 29G has the fiberglass roof.
Not an "expert", but will accept PMs if you wish to compare notes.

RE: Modified sine wave inverters

Our Freedom 2500 msw made by Heart is wired into the main breaker panel & is able to power all 120vac outlets. Everything works well when power-managed properly.
Well, ALMOST Everything…
The only bad actor that refuses to 'play nice' is our air purifier, the Fresh Air by Ecoquest. It kinda would've been nice to have it travel along with us. But now we just ride without it - now that ALL the other pieces of electronics have spoken by voting the purifier "off the island!"

RE: Changing out TV to LCD

I remember as a kid helping my dad and grandfather work TVs. We'd take tubes down to TV repair shop, plug them into the big tester thing and replace the ones that checked out bad. It was neat opening the back of a TV and seeing all the stuff in there!
Memory Lane... ... How many fingers got burnt?
NOW the technology allows for TV's to be less than an inch in thickness. Progress.

RE: Need Bigfoot import advice

There was a recent thread on this very brand and it was determined that in fact BIGFOOT is not a permitted vehicle to import into Canada from the US. If I recall correctly, the manufacturer has not filed the needed information with the Federal authority. I know that it does NOT show up on the approved listing.

RE: Why does Camping World over charge for products????

I've little else to do this evening before the game starts, so I'll weigh in with MY RULES for shopping:
1.
Shop around. It’s worth it!
2.
Hold onto the sales receipt.
3.
Just because I may have the bucks to spend on an item, doesn’t give ANY STORE permission to rip me off.
and most important
4.
Just because I buy an item, doesn’t mean I’ll keep it. It will be returned for a price adjustment, or... ...

RE: TV mounting suggestions

OR... ...
Use a wall-mount support like mine.
Rotate it 90 degrees such that the plate that's supposed to attach vertically to the wall actually becomes the horizontal base to support the weight of the TV. Works better for stability, AND happens to be a fair price from these folks.

RE: Krystal Class C

I do recall walking through a Krystal Class C that was on display at an RV show about a year ago.
As a Bigfoot owner, I noticed the Krystal also to be a comparably well built product of quality. It was relatively expensive... ...Looks like prices have come down quite a bit from what I remember. Perhaps THAT ONE was one of their 33 footers.

RE: To anyone that has replaced TV with a LCD

Easy to do. Install the swing arm sideways. The plate that connects to the TV rotates on most swing arms so you can just set it however you want. About the most you will get in terms of drop is 12 inch to 15 inch drop on a swing arm for a 32 inch tv. You of course will need a very solid place to anchor the swing arm to the motorhome and come up with a scheme to hold the tv in the up position but there are a variety of ways to do that.This could more of a pita than you want. I personally like the cabinets that have hydraulics to allow the tv to rise from the cabinet.
--------------
EXACTLY!
I used THIS PRODUCT, mounted 90 degrees horizontally. Works well for our needs.

RE: Satellite Receiver Installation in Motor Home

I’ve "subscribed" to this thread with hopes of overhearing more words of wisdom. Thanx Shapeshifter!
We are in the process of switching our service from Direct TV to Dishnetwork. Why?
I’ve just off-loaded one 100 lb 27" CRT from our Class C.
The replacement 32" LCD nicely fits the space;
It is capable of receiving in HD 1080P;
It weighs only 23 lbs;
AND, it was on sale.
Sold!
The catch & The trap:
The $$ saved (plus some more $$) has gone towards a Winegard RT1200 In-motion Antenna - that is currently somewhere on a UPS truck enroute from W Va. Our present Trac Vision A-5 antenna is obsolete, & will only handle standard definition signals as offered by Direct TV satellites.
So, when that truck arrives, I too will be in the market (even more $$) for perhaps a VIP Winegard Receiver that handles ONLY ONE TV & a DVR. And, like the OP, I’ll welcome advice for getting all this new stuff hooked up & working properly. Comments?
(Warning to Newlyweds: Do not try this stunt at home...)
DW is letting me believe that my bam-boozle, "We’re just doing our part to help stimulate this economy." ... ... IS WORKING!

Sink Repair / Replacement

Does anyone know if GS Plastics, Elkhart Indiana is still in business?
Their phone number refers me to ANOTHER number that’s not in service, 574-262-9250. Google isn’t much help either.
Plan B:
Any recommendations on a good epoxy that can seal an inch long hairline crack that found ME, yesterday?
Thanx in advance for any comments.
