I think I read on rvparkreviews where someone posted about staying at a Fl SP where they were able to see monkeys playing in the trees, wanting to know if I dreamed about this or is it a fact, have tried to find the listing again but was unable to. TIA Andy H.

Henderson Beach SP/Grayton Beach SP in Dec.

Am planning a two week trip to either of the aforementioned parks during the first of Dec. Would like to know which sites are best or what would be recommended for this trip, haven't decided which park to go to yet. Also what should I expect the weather to be like during this time frame. Will be camping in 28ft 5'er with superslide. TIA Andy

RE: Motor scooter on the back

Took our 5'er to a metal fabricator and he welded a class 3 reciever hitch to the frame, got a carrier at Lowes that is rated at 500 lbs, haven't put scooter on it to travel yet, but have put it there to check, no problems. Have traveled with 3500W generator, grill, tote and cooler on it with no problems. Andy

RE: Cade's Cove - Water Available Anywhere Close?

Just got back from Cades Cove. There is one dumping area that has three dump stations and at each station there are potable water hoses to fill your fresh water tank. Also if you are interested the bears are very active in the cove now, seen bears everyday during the week we were there. Andy

Found out why 6 volts are better

Finally after several months of thinking of 2 6 volt Trojan T105 or 2 group 27 12 volt batteries went with the Trojans. Boy what a difference. Just finished a 7 night trip to Cades Cove. With the Trojans had to fire up generator only once a day if that for an hour to top them off. With the old 12 volts would have to fire generator up twice a day and couldn't get a full charge. Didn't have a problem with the Trojans. So if anyone wants an opinion on the batteries, go with the 2 6 volt trojans, less problems and no stress worrying about keeping a good charge. Andy

RE: I40 exit 398 in Tennessee

afob3; Am using this way to miss all the gridlock that you know of. It will take longer, but the less hassle is worth it. Have pulled a tent camper thru Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge, but don't want to take the 5'er thur that mess. Andy

I40 exit 398 in Tennessee

Going to Cades Cove next Wednesday, planning on fuel stop at this exit. Needing diesel, pulling 28ft 5'er. Any suggestions on service stations at this exit that would be easy in and out. Will be west bound on I40. TIA Andy

Trojan T-105

After much thought and worrying over it, have almost decided to go with 2 trojan t-105s. What kind of performance should I expect over using 2 12v batteries? Just be using water pump, maybe furnace a little. Some lights and the electonic control for refrig. Maybe 12v outlet to keep battery charged in computer. Oh and one last thing are they wired pos to pos and neg to neg then to 5er? TIA Andy

Replacing house batteries

Am going to be replacing my house batteries, don't hold charge long enough, guess they have gone bad. 5er came with one 12 volt group 24 battery and I added another, know they are mis-matched brands. Gonna replace both. Do some dry camping time to time, but have generator to charge in morning or afternoon. Not interested in 6 volt batteries. Need recommendation on 12 volt batteries. Also am not real good at understand the techs of the batteries. Just needing to know what will hold charge longer and better. Have to keep some power to refrig control panel and might use furnace at times during the night. Run water pump occasionally. Any suggestions? TIA Andy

Might need a toad.

Am thinking about upgrading to a class c. Having problems trying to decide what kind of toad to get. Would like a small pickup, however don't understand the aspect of 4 down towing and the modification I might need to do. Is there any vehicles out there that do not require any type modification before towing 4 down? TIA Andy Or would it be in my best interests to invest in a tow dolly so it would give me more choices in vehicles. Thanks. Andy Thanks for all the replies, have decided to just stay being a 5'er. Andy
